oh well... i finished the book already.. the guardian... it's so twisting, compelling, extraordinary yet romantic...
roughly it's about a widow whom her late husband gave her a dog as a companion when he was gone.. and after i have read the book, it turned out the dog was 'the guardian'.. i won't indulge into details but it was nevertheless a very gripping book to read... it took me bout 3-4 days i guess to finish up the book.. bout 100 pages a day with blogging in betw..=P
last nite adrian msn-ed me asking how was i.. apparently he came back from mmu to start his accountancy course in sunway... man... i support you in whatever you do man... we'll meet up tonite to talk about things... ahha... adrian is one of my 'heng tai's back then in SJ... sama sama lar kita mengharungi onak dan duri.. ahhaha.. my BM is still surprisingly good eh..=P
so later tonite i have a date with adrian (if its even called a date) at sukumaran's... but now i'm just so free.. finish reading the book but then i can't bring myself to writing the stupid elective report... how many pages am i suppose to write? 20-30? 100? i heard that htin aung last time asked his tutees to write at lesat a 100 page report on elective.. i just wonder how lar can i write 100 page report on squash coaching? shit.. this is sooo bad...
but what the heck lar.. not like i'm going pms also... prob i'll just stick to seremban unless some wealthy aunty or uncle comes up and say "won a lottery. couple of hundred thousand. sponsor u ok?"
KNOCK KNOCK.. DREAM ON!!!
one thing that i observe is that how come our lives are not really much of a fairy tale? why do we have to worry this and worry that... can life be a little perfect? i'm not asking for 100% but i'm just wondering is it ok to be at lesat 80% perfect? some things in life we have to learn the hard way if not so, we won't be able to enjoy the fruits of our labour... how true is it? i'm aye aye to this...
so i guess i'm just waiting for 'the break up' and 'garfield' to be aired in cinema... then maybe if i've got the time, or if i want to, maybe i'll just do some political condemnation on that israel attack... bloody americans and british didn't clear up their mess during the world war... now they are left to pay for their negligance.. oh come on... u think palestine's gonna carve a land from nowhere to give to the isrealites? and worst look at their geographical situation.. they are surrounded by all islamic countries.. u think they will let u israelites live in peace? before they can even do anything israel bombards them with missiles... and worst, the us and the uk have no firm stand in asking them to cease fire.. and guess what? in the UN, veto powers are held by both britain and the americans...
2 veto powers don't wanna make a cease fire comment.. and rice can only look in despair but not yet pushing for a cease fire... so what kinda political s**thole is this? and then looking at the islamic countries around israel (syria, iran...etc...) they are so divided by their very own shiiate and suni group... different ways in interpreting the Quran... i mean... boy... can't they just put their differences aside for the good of men? look what they have turned into...
they were once the most intellegent ppl on earth during the caliphs period... they have founded algebra, chemistry, yada yada.... and then look at what's happening now... fighting non stop over differences in the Quran interpretation.. if they put their heads together to stay united, i would bet my bottom dollar that the countries in the middle east would be one of the stronghold in the world's economy.. as in besides the fact that they monopolise the oil industry... they could be players in the economy just like how china has been for the past 4-5 years... we see things in the market 'MADE IN CHINA' or 'MADE IN KOREA'.... but do you see anything 'MADE IN AFGHANISTAN' or 'MADE IN JORDAN'? i mean besides churning out warheads and missiles and C4s for that matter...
i wonder how the world would have been if everyone could just give in a bit of tolerance and upholding justice is as plain as a white cloth... no stains... no dirt... maybe things will change if something like 'the day after tomorrow' aftermath takes place... only then we will understand humility, understand humanity and most important of all unity... there will come a time when the true courage of Men is tested by God.. then we shall know that whoever survives the test are those whose hearts are the most true, filled with love, prayers and compassion to bring peace in the world...
